I do not think this university is selectiveJun 11 2006Communications
I do not think this university is selective. It loses many students every semester, myself included. Due to this new flood of non-returning students, USF has begun to admit any student that graduates high school into their grounds. It is not a higher learning institution and intellectualism is not valued. You will be taken care of if you are a pre-med/chemistry/nursing student. Any other major will require some good begging for a job after graduation. Look elsewhere.

I think anyone who can get a high school diploma and can get decent test scores (above 900 SAT) can get into this university - dont sweat admissions at USF.

Take the SAT/ACT score decently, and you're in. But to get involved and untilize the USF resources interest and hardwork is all you need.

I got into USF based on my GPA forApr 17 2005English
I got into USF based on my GPA for general coursework completed at SPC (anyone with an A.A. from a Florida junior college can be granted admission to a public Florida university, but I didn't have mine yet when I applied and was accepted). If you're not sure if your high school GPA is high enough to get you in, you might want to try a semester or three at a junior college--if you get consistently high grades there, your chances of getting into USF are likely to improve drastically, and if you go ahead and finish the A.A. you're a shoo-in (and from what I've heard, you'd probably be better off getting your general coursework done at a junior college anyway).
SAT: 1107 Female
