Make sure your essay consist of "team/unity" themesJun 17 2008Psychology
Make sure your essay consist of "team/unity" themes. This is a big school spirit school. Make sure you have at least a 3.7 coming in as a Freshman and a 3.5 as a Transfer. I came from a small school, so I was basically handed my UMD-No.

This was super easy to get into. I had a 2.00 and still got accepted. If want to be guarenteed admission just apply for computer science. They only get like 50 applications for computer science a year. That's what I did then I just switched my major.

Unless you are an in-state student whose primary concernNov 21 2007Other
Unless you are an in-state student whose primary concern is affording tuition, take UM off your list. There are better schools with better resources at which you will receive a similar or better education and have more fun and feel respected as a student. Financially, you may as well go to private school.
SAT: 1390 Male
The University of Maryland has become very difficult toNov 07 2007Undecided
The University of Maryland has become very difficult to get into, especially for those out of state. In order to get good grades, you will have to work hard and occasionally sacrifice a Thirsty Thursday to stay in and study. The requirements are difficult, so the professors expect a lot from the students. You must be willing to work hard, and have a desire to succeed academically. If you party every night and do not study, you will probably be gone before the end of the first semester.
