Too many Ta's teach the classes, no access to professors, lots of Ta's who can't speak good english, many professors who don't speak english, bad social life, social life is based entirely on alcohol, there is nothing to do. You will be amazed and disgusted at the public drunkeness and underage drinking here, students vomiting on public buses at night, and immoral activities. There is nothing to do here so everyone drinks.

Well, I had test scores and a GPA that fit into their mean range; other than that, I was pretty active in high school (2 sports, 2 clubs, 2 honor societies) and also worked at the local YMCA. Your best bet is to do your best on tests and classes in high school, participate in at least 2 extra curriculars, and be very energetic in your essay. I would suggest, when you write your essay, write about something that is important to you, and how it either reflects on your desire to get into this University or how it represents something about you that would be of value for your University (sports, music, photography, writing, whatever your interest). The application varies depending on which school you apply to, but they all have the basic essay.
