I applied at applytexasSep 20 2005Computer Engineering
I applied at . It's relatively easy to get accepted to UH. You should have a 3.0 or higher for the Engineering college or to major in Computer Science. I'm not sure about the other majors. The admissions criteria, however, have been consistently getting more stringent.
SAT: 1320 Male
Admissions are straight forward and not pickyAug 07 2005Chemistry
Admissions are straight forward and not picky. However, your success is completely dependent on YOU. You have to be able to get along with your classmates when working on projects! You have to avoid unmotivated or bitter students and work with those who share the same motivation.

You can make your UH education worth alot if you have enough wits to see the opportunities and go for them, otherwise you will graduate with another diploma from another school as another person looking for another job...

To sum it up: UH is great value for your money and is what YOU make of it.

Good luck!

Undergraduates can get in fairly easy it is notApr 21 2005Psychology
Undergraduates can get in fairly easy; it is not competitve. HOwever, for undergraduates I don't recommend this school unless you live in the area and dont want to move. U of H is very expensive and other universities with less students can better educate students, even while charging less on tuition.

I transferred in from a community college without a problem.

If you are wanting to get into the GraphicFeb 23 2005Art & Design Department
If you are wanting to get into the Graphic Communications department in the college of Fine arts.. go elsewhere. The staff is overly feminist and elitist. You better be rich and not work either. They look down on you for working and going to school. Getting into the program is not a question if you are able to do the work, its mostly political standing that is most important in your ablilty to be accepted into its self centered program. Students are not helpful to each other, becuase they want to get in the program. Being accepted is not a gurantee, rather a chance you take when you spend money on their prerequisites. Want to study design.. go elsewhere.. Architecture school and Industrial Design is good at UH though.
