If you have good grades, you will get in easily. I recommend trying for the Honors college. If you want to live on campus, being in honors gives you an automatic in to the Quadrangle. You also get smaller classes, and the best professors in honors.

UH is a public univeristy, and as long as your paperwork is complete and in on time then you probably won't have any difficulty getting accepted.

I applied at . It's relatively easy to get accepted to UH. You should have a 3.0 or higher for the Engineering college or to major in Computer Science. I'm not sure about the other majors. The admissions criteria, however, have been consistently getting more stringent.
