Don't, just go somewhere else, if its not a UC campus you'll probably have a better experience.

They get a lot of applications, so make yourself stand out. I know this is hard, but probably the best way to get started is to find a passion and pursue it.

I took the BART. From the BART, I took Shattuck Ave. Then I took a left on Bancroft, walked a couple minutes, then made another left into the campus. I passed Sather Gate, and pretty much walked from there. I don't know why all these other people had a hard time... but it's honestly not that hard.

I was a pretty good student, graduating with high honors and a few awards, but not a valedictorian or anything(I think I had a 3.8). My SAT scores were ok, but not great (like a 580 math, 680 verbal). But I think a school like Berkeley looks at the whole package, which is why I think I got in. I think I wrote a great personal statement and was really involved in high school. I was most involved in Leadership (student govt), Track & Field, and organizing c/o 2000 events, though I also was in a few community service clubs, Asian club, cheer, and interned for a state senator my senior year. I've also heard that it's possible to get in on appeal, this actually worked for a few acquaintances and for one of my instructors who had gone to Berkeley for undergrad.
