Um, I went to a very selective well knownFeb 03 2007Mechanical Engineering
Um, I went to a very selective well known high school so it was easier to get in. I had a 90 average in high school and a 2010 on my sats. I applied Early Action because I knew for a fact that Stony Brook was perfect for me. I wrote about all my volunteer and internship experiences for the part 2 forms and I scheduled an interview just to be safe. I think the interview was overkill but it did land me an impressive scholarship. Check out if the school is for you during the application process. Visit the campus, go to the Student Activities Center or The Wang Center and check the atmosphere out, see if its your thing. Walk around buildings and go to the university museums\galleries. Chill with the students!

I don't think I wrote an essay, I had great grades, a $20,000 academic scholarship, worked a tutoring job, did many EC activities, won several awards, played an instument and had a good SAT score.
