As far as i know getting in is a jokeDec 22 2004Biology
As far as i know getting in is a joke. i got into every school i applied to. i had a pretty high SAT for a state school like Rutgers(1450- 780 M,670 V) but i was EXTREMELY lazy in HS. i was the kind of person who would almost always come close to failing gym class;-). i had a ~2.9 gpa and very few activities (unless you count skateboarding and playing lots of video games). heck, i didn't even submit an essay. and they gave me a scholarship too! sure it might not have hurt that i'm instate and half hispanic (yeah i know affirmative action is pretty stupid). but still it's pretty easy to get into. my advice: dont sweat it.

-Getting in for me was easy because I had high SAT scores and great academic scores to. Look up the school you want to get into The School of Engineering, Pharmacy, Rutgers College, Livingston College, Cook College, Douglass College, Mason Gross... And make sure you fulfill all their requirements, because if you don't they will not let you in Rutgers is very strict on that. is it easy to get in NO. Is it really hard to get in NO. It all depends on the school you apply to and what they expect applicants to have already

Rutgers at this point does not have a DeanNov 02 2003Political Science
Rutgers at this point does not have a Dean of Admissions. What this means, basically, is if you meet certain criteria, allowing for applicant pool sizes, you get in. There are no recommendations, no essays, no extra points for being Prom Queen or President of the Chess Club. This is what one calls an "Office of Enrollment Management"--everything is done by computer. I wouldn't be surprised if a human being didn't see anything other than entering in your grades and then putting the print outs into the neat folder Rutgers sends you. The folder is one of the highlights of the whole application process at Rutgers. You only get one if you're accepted of course, and it's a fairly nice black matte finish stock folder with the Seal of the University set into it. Regardless, admission to Rutgers is based on two things (more or less): SAT scores, and GPA. Unless you can play football and then neither of those two things matter.
