I recommend communicating with administrative staff and people inJun 20 2005Mechanical Engineering
I recommend communicating with administrative staff and people in the department you are looking at going into before going to the school. I probably got into a lot of my schools that I was on the brink of getting into with grades, scores, and such by knowing administrative people at RPI about a year in advance of applying/going there. Being well rounded is also a great thing and having a social aspect to you puts you ahead of any competition trying to get in.

I can't say much. RPI was my safety school.

Its not hard to get in at allMay 02 2005Computer Science
Its not hard to get in at all. And dont be impressed with your $10k scholarship, RPI gives pretty much everyone one of them.
SAT: 1440 Male
Well I had a good SAT ScoreFeb 25 2005Other
Well I had a good SAT Score... and an 89.9% GPA in High School. Also a New York State Regents Diploma with Honors... so that probably Helped. If you really want to come here, apply early decision, because the Freshman Dorms Fill up first Come First Serve, and you want to be in Barton Hall, trust me... everyone wants to be in Barton Hall... and it totaly fills up with the Early Decision Kids.
