They have a specific outline of what they are looking for however, I had a series of about 20 photographs, many sketchbooks filled with drawings and sketches, as well as painting studies.

Really just make a interview your junior year, then return the following year so you can be better prepared

Go to portfolio review day and show your sketchbooks with your work. They LOVE sketchbooks. Have drawings from life not pictures. Show a wide range of stuff. Pre-College programs will make you portfolio banging, and almost guarantee you an in.
