I made straight A's in high school and did well on my standardized tests.
ACT: 30 SAT: 1280 Female

It was easy. I spent ten minutes on the two essays each and didn't bother having them proofread.
ACT: 28 SAT: 1410 Female
I filled out the application in twenty minutes onlineAug 31 2008Biology
I filled out the application in twenty minutes online back in September of my last year of high school. Then I spent ten minutes writing the two essays and I didn't bother to get them proofread. However, I did do the stereotypical sob-story of my father dying along with a creative essay that stood out.

The best thing to do is to have a well-balanced life with decent to excellent grades. I was the last person in the top 10% of my small school, but I had several clubs and drama presentations that I helped to direct. Then my senior year I also worked 30 hours on top of attending both high school and university.
ACT: 28 Female

Standards were easier back thenAug 21 2008Math
Standards were easier back then. But I did transfer after a year from Ohio University and had a 3.8 GPA which included a year of Calculus.
Basically, I just appliedMar 13 2008History/Histories (art history/etc.)
Basically, I just applied. Ohio State just aims at being #1. Therefore, I highly suspect they don't pay much attention. It is becoming slightly more competitive I believe. Personally, it just depends on where they need people to fill "perfect statistics." I probably got in just because I am female, low-income, and from a rural area. I do have to say though, I have been pleased with my financial aid.
