There is something very unique about admission at MiamiAug 15 2003Accounting
There is something very unique about admission at Miami University. I would say the admission staff spends 50% more time on admission applications than other schools. Miami is extremely competetive and getting more so every day but unlike other universities miami will SERIOUSLY consider your special qualities and interests. For example if you do not have amazing test scores or an awesome GPA you still have a change to get into Miami if your essay blows them away. Things like that actually happen in admissions here, where they never would at other universities of Miami's caliber. Just a cool fact i thought i would share.

Be involved in as many extra curricular activities in high school as possible. Volunteer activities are a plus! Score high on the ACT and keep good marks in your classes. Post-secondary classes are looked upon highly.
ACT: 24 Female
I didn't have the highest GPA or ACT scores,Nov 26 2002Political Science
I didn't have the highest GPA or ACT scores, but they were still solid enough to not disqualify me from acceptance. Keep about a 3.4, and around a 26 ACT, you should be fine. Just be sure to write a good essay, and have solid letters of recommendation. If you are at all interested in Miami, definately come and visit during the week and be sure to stay at least one day during the weekend. You'll be hooked.
ACT: 25 Male
