Recommend that you've been a member of the H.S. National Honor Society, Ranked in the Top 25 of your H.S. graduating class, score above average on SAT, proven record of Volunteerism, possibly your Religious background/ faith and how you express and conduct yourself as a respectful, kind, caring, do for others type of person (wealthy kids know how to pretend or act this out as many are snobs/ spoiled brats). Write a very good essay but be careful not to use too many adjectives and don't use glamorous fancy words. Be direct and concise, be honest about things you've done and highlight your primary accomplishments. Getting into Marist is much easier than it may of been 10 years ago as they are accepting 5 to 7 percent more than they once did. Up from 33 percent to almost 40 percent. Remember the bottom line is all about money.Value of your education from Marist might be less than average but it depends on few factors like your Major, course selections, the Professor, and what you desire tho learn.
Having a good GPA and test scores is aMar 25 2015Art & Design Department
Having a good GPA and test scores is a big help, but it isn't everything. If possible, take a more challenging course load in HS (especially AP credits, it'll be a big help in the future) and definitely be involved. Clubs and volunteering in things that are interest you and are important to you are highly recommended. Work experience is also big, so do what you can and try to be as well-rounded of a student as possible.

The school is not super difficult to get intoSep 17 2014Art & Design Department
The school is not super difficult to get into. do well on your SATs and work hard in high school. For the fashion merchandising department, they do require a separate essay to submit. Think critically in this essay and provide a well organized paper. Really make yourself stand out, most of the students are very similar in terms of background and past school experience. make yourself stand out.
