I was initially told by an admissions representative that I would not be accepted because I did not have quite competitive enough of a GPA (mine was 3.2 or so - they say they want 3.5) and I did not take a foreign language (well I took three years of American Sign Language but they didn't count that). My SAT score ended up being high enough to allow admissions to disregard my low-ish GPA, and they accepted me. Had I been in a BA program I would have had to take 14 credits of a language, but I am not so I don't have to. Things I would recommend: Get in touch with an admissions rep! Take a tour! Be honest and down-to-earth on your application, and even though it says the "personal statement" is optional, DO IT. Good luck! :)
