I actually transferred to Hopkins from Northeastern University inMay 29 2004Other
I actually transferred to Hopkins from Northeastern University in Boston. I had a pretty high GPA upon leaving, as well a research experience and good relations with the prof's that wrote my letters. I recommend that students do well in all of the basic things - classes, SAT's, etc. Most of all though have fun and don't stress about school too much as many kids do at Hopkins. I took no AP classes - went to school in small Alberta school without AP classes- and did OK on my SAT's. I am at the top of my classes in Biophysics because I found something that I was interested in and like to challenge myself. Hope this helps, good luck.

The best thing to get into Hopkins is toApr 20 2004Economics
The best thing to get into Hopkins is to show that you've worked hard and tried a lot of different things (but don't do sooo many things that you never really focus on any one activity). Try lots of activities find a good 3 or 4 that you like (volunteering, clubs, sports, jobs, etc.) and be creative and thorough on your essays. Hopkins is the kind of school that sort of looks at scores but wants a TRULY well-rounded person (not just someone to keep them in the top spot in the rankings like many ivies do...)
SAT: 1570 Female
