Just do your work and have at least a B average and take the most challenging courses (AP). The more AP exams you take and score a 3 the more classes you are exempt from. Remember that SAT's are only 3 hours of your life. Your GPA is a reflection of your work through a long period.

Check out the campus first if possible. I didn't get to do this ahead of time but you can call the school and set up a guided tour. Beautiful campus on the waterfront.

Also, put some time into your essay, it helps. Make sure to follow up with your application to make sure it's been received and processed.
