I only took courses in summers. Thus, I didn't have to go through the same admission standards.

Well, my getting in was somewhat of special interestOct 16 2009PreMed and Medical
Well, my getting in was somewhat of special interest case. I went into the service after high school and never took my SAT's. However, I did enroll into NYIT's premed course and had a GPA of 3.95. When I went for my interview or whatever you want to call it, the woman looked me right in the eye and said I had to take my SAT's! I was like your kidding me, right? I think having a GPA of 3.95 in a premed course from a whell known Med-school would have been more then enough. She was like, let me speak to my boss...came back...ok, you dont need the sat's. .....LOL...yeah, thanks...
Get here show you careMar 02 2009Communications
get here show you care. Get involved there are a lot of clubs, internships, connections and friends available on campus. DO not sit around and wait. That goes for any campus. Have fun its college.
Just go to a community college if hofstra isFeb 13 2009PreMed and Medical
just go to a community college if hofstra is your last resort. don't do it! there is no point in coming here, the debate is over.
I wrote a regular essay on why I likedJan 22 2009Video/Media
I wrote a regular essay on why I liked film and I got a 10K scholarship from the university. Don't be fooled by that though. I bet you can send in the lyrics for Eminem's "Lose Yourself" and still get a scholarship from this place. Admission is a breeze, so don't go thinking you got into something special if they send you an acceptance letter. In all honesty, you're better off going to the nearby Nassau Community College (right down the block) for 1/15 the tuition. Don't listen to that crap about universities being better. It's all a big fat lie. You'd get a degree no matter where you go.
