It's not difficult to get in. A decent grade point average, and slight extra curricular will get you in. Although, the education is semi challenging, so don't expect a cake walk.

I was an out of state student from the South. Ironically I think they put more requirements on me to get in than the Long Islanders down the street.

Hofstra is not that selectiveMar 30 2013Psychology
Hofstra is not that selective. As long as you have the grades and the test scores, you're good to go. Just make sure you've written a good essay, and make it known that you've researched the school. This is really sound advice for any school you're applying to, so remember it!
ACT: 26 SAT: 1800 Male
My GPA is 3Jan 31 2013Psychology
My GPA is 3.5 unweighted, 4.5 weighted, my SATs were only 1740.
I got in to Hofstra with a $80,000 scholarship for the 4 years ($20,000 per year).
It wasn't too difficult. Good Luck.
