I got into Cornell, and the other six schoolsJan 02 2005Mechanical Engineering
I got into Cornell, and the other six schools I applied to. (Including MIT) I figure the key was playing a stringed instrument, and applying to an engineering school. The difficult part is most every college wants well rounded applicants with lots of different activities. Once you graduate, potential employers want a specialist. I wasn't willing to work on brakes for Honda my entire career.

Cornell is starting to look beyond just the SATsJun 27 2004Business - Management and Administration
Cornell is starting to look beyond just the SATs and GPAs, more so than before. They want you to prove to them through your essays, tough HS curriculum, extracurriculars and everything else that you will be a strong but unique addition to their University, that can hopefully contribute something to the intellectual environment. I had low SATs but a good GPA and rank and went early decision. I recommend ED for anyone who is sure they want to go here.
SAT: 1250 Male
