Grades and test scores are always important, but extra-curricularDec 11 2005Business - Management and Administration
Grades and test scores are always important, but extra-curricular activities throughout high school are also a major plus. I talked about my experiences in youth groups and focused my essay on what I wanted to get out of Baylor. As long as you are true and open about yourself and what you want, I think you will have a great shot at getting in.

marching band - bunch of fatties that yell at you for doing something "wrong" when they're the ones always messing up. too many pseudo-leaders and not enough freshmen. if you are a trumpet - join. they actually have fun.
I applied after the deadline date and got inMar 18 2005Chemistry
I applied after the deadline date and got in. It wasn't too hard for me. I really couldn't offer advice to other people on this.

Assuming you want to go, a few things toFeb 24 2005Business - Management and Administration
Assuming you want to go, a few things to help you get in include:

1. They essay should be used for one thing: praising Christianity. Baylor will accept nearly any student that they believe is a good, pure, Christian. Although Baylor has genuine academic standards, they believe in giving everyone a chance, and letting grades sort out who should stay and who should not.

2. Letters of recommendation. As a private university, Baylor is truly open to much more than SAT's and GPA's. Recommendations from ministers, teachers, etc. can make a big difference for borderline students.

3. Find out which programs have not met enrollement expectations the year before, and mark them as your intended major. This will have no effect on you once you enroll, but if you declare intent to major in a subject that is lacking in students, it might make the difference if you are not guaranteed admission.
SAT: 1340 Male

I transfered to BaylorJan 25 2005Psychology
I transfered to Baylor. It's wasnt that hard, I transfer with 48 hours. I had over 60 but Baylor didn't take them all. I have heard much worse though. Some people don't get of there hours in! For uncoming freshman, work hard...Baylor will probley take u with a decent ACT/SAT score.
